how to clean the hoover steamvac widepath 6500 carpet cleaner?
this is the large maroon cleaner. the front plastic face plate is dirty inside and i’ve tried to get it off, it just acts like it will break. i have looked all over the website for hoover, including searching by product model number but nothing has been found for this vacuum! i know it exists, i have one. also i need spare parts! also i don’t think the brushes spin well….may be broken, i could also need a manual.
I have been able to get most of what I need from the Hoover (or even the Bissell) web site. They do have a wand that fits inside the suction section that will wash out whatever dirt, etc. is trapped under the face plate.. I just turn my machine upside down in the laundry tub and hose it out. My son has taken it outside and used the hose.
You might try your local yellow pages for vacuum repair stores. They might be able to help you with parts or fix it for you.
