How & why is there so much dirt, I’m talking ground red dirt, underneath my built-in dishwasher?
The dishwasher has never worked now I know why. The belt was actually covered in piles of dirt from outside. The foundation of my house is concrete. The house is at least 25 years old. I vacuumed the dirt with a wet/dry vac. I actually thought it was just sitting on the bare ground. Is this a normal thing for so much dirt? How did it get there?
guessing the dishwasher is against an outer wall..ant activity if there is a stress crack in the slab that runs under there or plumbing penetrations with a gap… if that wall is what gets the most winds and the wall insulation and moisture barrier is incomplete and a weep hole lines up there, with a bit of sand at a time, it built up in the 25 years
